APG 0814 exhibits improved low-temperature behavior due to the content of lower alkyl chain glucosides, allowing it to be stored and processed at temperatures above 5°C. This compound can be easily formulated because it does not form a gel phase upon dilution. By reducing the pH value, for instance with citric acid to below 8.5, the specific cloudiness associated with the product disappears, thereby enabling the formulation of clear products.

Aqueous solutions of APG 0814 cannot be thickened by adding NaCl. However, when combined with anionic surfactants, the viscosity can be enhanced through the addition of electrolytes.

APG 0814 provides excellent dishwashing performance, especially when used in conjunction with anionic and amphoteric surfactants. Consequently, this product is well-suited for the manufacture of manual dishwashing agents. Storage and transportation

Should crystallization or sedimentation occur when stored at temperatures below 15°C, the product should be heated and stirred until it becomes uniform before use. When heating, avoid prolonged localized temperatures exceeding 43°C to prevent possible product discoloration. Using tempered water is advisable. Low-pressure steam is acceptable provided that the product is monitored on a regular basis. For bulk storage, materials such as IBC or 200L normal drums are suitable.
