Product Introduction

APG 1214/lauryl glucoside/CAS:110615-47-9

Product Introduction

APG 1214/Lauryl Glucoside (CAS:110615-47-9) is a nonionic surfactant, chemically known as Lauril glucoside. It is produced through the esterification of glucose and lauryl alcohol, offering good solubility and emulsifying properties. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups in its molecular structure effectively reduce surface tension, enhancing emulsification. These attributes make APG 1214/Lauryl Glucoside widely used in daily chemical products, industrial cleaning, textile industry, and agricultural formulations.

Product Advantages

Gentle and Safe

APG 1214/Lauryl Glucoside contains natural sugar groups, ensuring excellent skin compatibility and low irritability. Clinical tests show it is gentle on sensitive skin, suitable for baby care products and personal hygiene items. Its non-toxic nature enhances safety in daily use.

Superior Cleaning and Foaming

APG 1214 excels in stain removal and foam stability, effectively breaking down stubborn dirt. The synergy between its hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups allows rapid penetration into stains, disintegrating them and facilitating easy rinsing. Its fine, stable foam maintains cleaning efficacy for extended periods.

Versatile Applications

Beyond these advantages, APG 1214/Lauryl Glucoside showcases remarkable versatility across various applications. Whether as a household cleaner, personal care product, or industrial surfactant, it delivers exceptional performance. It is particularly favored in industries requiring both eco-friendliness and efficiency.

Robust pH and Hard Water Tolerance

APG 1214 demonstrates outstanding resistance to pH extremes and hard water conditions, maintaining consistent cleaning effectiveness. The glycosidic linkage in its structure ensures stability against acidic and alkaline environments, preserving activity in high or low pH solutions. Additionally, its insensitivity to calcium and magnesium ions in hard water ensures optimal cleaning performance even under such conditions.

Product guidance

Examples of Use

Laundry Detergents, Liquid Hand Dish Detergents, Industrial and Institutional Cleaners: APG 1214 is well-suited for laundry applications where properties such as micellar solubilization, emulsification, and detergency are required. These alkyl polyglucoside surfactants function as conventional nonionic surfactants but offer the advantage of being easy to formulate since they do not form a gel phase upon dilution. APG 1214 is soluble and stable in liquid formulations that contain high levels of builders and electrolytes. Furthermore, these alkyl polyglucoside surfactants are compatible and, in some cases, show synergy with enzymes, optical brighteners, and other surfactants, including cationics.

Liquid Hand Dish Detergents

In products such as liquid hand dish detergents, where high foaming and good detergency are required, APG 1214 delivers excellent performance coupled with outstanding mildness to the skin.

Storage and transportation

APG 1214 can be stored in sealed original containers, protected from frost, and maintained below 43°C for at least one year. Maximum Storage Temperature: When heating, avoid prolonged localized temperatures exceeding 43°C to prevent possible product discoloration. Using tempered water is advisable. Low-pressure steam is acceptable if the product is monitored regularly. For easier handling, the product can be warmed up to a maximum of 50°C for a short duration without affecting the product specification.

If the product is stored at temperatures below 38°C, crystallization may occur. Depending on the storage time, sedimentation may also occur. Therefore, the product should be heated and stirred until it becomes uniform before use. APG 1214 has a high pH value; consequently, the product does not contain any preservatives.

Bulk storage materials include IBC, 200L normal drum, or open head drum.
